Customer Service Representative

Powdersville Water is searching for a qualified and motivated candidate to fill an open Customer Service Representative (CSR) Position. This position performs a variety of tasks including but not limited to, assisting in resolving and responding to customer concerns both in person and over the phone. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills both verbal and written, strong problem-solving and analytical ability, a professional demeanor especially under pressure, a team player with a willingness to learn and grow, and a customer-first attitude.

Key responsibilities:

• responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and concerns
• establishing and maintaining customer accounts and records
• processing payments accurately and efficiently
• investigate and analyze customer usage utilizing MDM data and/or customer portals
• generating service orders for customer service or operations staff
• communicating effectively with construction and field crews to resolve customer issues

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to learn and utilize Utility Billing software and other necessary software
• Previous experience in a water utility or customer service preferred
• Bilingual abilities a plus, but not required

This will be a temp to perm position, working a minimum of 40 hours per week with the possibility of unscheduled and scheduled overtime. PW offers market-competitive compensation, including excellent benefits, upon conversion to a permanent position.
