Meter Technician
Powdersville Water is searching for a qualified candidate to fill an open Meter Technician position. This position performs a variety of duties related to water meter reading, meter maintenance and customer service. A meter technician will assist in responding to all work orders associated with customer meters. Employee should demonstrate a basic to intermediate understanding and ability to perform day-to-day field service duties including, but not limited to, maintaining, repairing, constructing, locating and installing water mains and appurtenances in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulations, standards of quality and safety of Powdersville Water.
The position will be trained in Water Distribution and be given the opportunity to obtain levels D, C, B, and A Water Distribution Operator license, as well as various other licensing associated with the operation and maintenance of a water distribution system (i.e. Cross-Connection Control, Class A CDL, etc.) Meter Technician must be able to obtain D level distribution license within 12 months of appointment if past experience is to be considered in lieu of certification.
Minimum Training, Experience, and Certifications required:
This will be a temp to perm position, working a minimum of 40 hours per week with the possibility of unscheduled and scheduled overtime. PW offers market-competitive compensation, including excellent benefits, upon conversion to a permanent position.
