Salary Range: $39,748.80 (19.11/hr.) - $59,654.40 ($28.68/hr.) Grade:105 Department: Executive Office/ Office Services

Hours: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm (flexible)

Position Summary:

Performs routine print and design services, including basic formatting adjustments to ensure documents meet expectations and print correctly. Supports CWS communication efforts through timely processing and delivery of printed materials. Assures accurate and timely delivery of incoming and outgoing mail.

Essential Functions:

  • Receive and fulfill print requests from internal customers
  • Makes basic formatting or layout adjustments to documents to ensure correct print output
  • Prepares print materials for finishing, including stapling, folding, or cutting
  • Operate a variety of printing, copying, binding, and finishing equipment
  • Process customer correspondence.
  • Receives and sorts incoming and outgoing U.S. mail; meters and processes mail using postage and inserting equipment
  • Notifies departments when packages are delivered and places sorted mail in designated areas
  • Tracks print and mail volumes using spreadsheets and physical logs; collects recipient signatures for package deliveries
  • Delivers Board of Commissioners agenda packets monthly to designated external locations using CWS vehicle
  • Restocks supplies and performs light maintenance on printing and mailing equipment (e.g., clearing jams, changing toner)
  • Maintains accurate records of deliveries, print jobs, and materials handled
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned
  • Responsible for issuing, tracking, and actual problem resolution on hardware and software issues.
  • Communicates and coordinates with outside vendor technical support.
  • Process all classes of mail including express mail or private carriers to ensure adherence to proper size, weight, packaging, postage, and other postal requirements.
  • Prepares and processes necessary paperwork related to mail services;
  • Operates motor vehicle to deliver/retrieve mail and to deliver/pickups items.
  • Work with Fleet Maintenance to ensure department vehicle is maintained on schedule.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Job performance must conform to all CWS policies and procedures.
  • Specific knowledge of CWS Environmental Management System Policy and Procedures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements, Activities, and Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds of materials daily. Objects greater than 50 pounds require a two-person operation.
  • Ability to use a personal computer, telephone, copier, automated binding machine, automated postage machines, and standard /battery operated pallet jacks.
  • Ability to make minor adjustments/repairs on equipment to retrieve materials jammed within the machinery to include grasping and reaching.
  • Frequent maneuvering as required to perform the essential functions to include but not limited to: bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, and standing.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral/written communication.
  • Ability to make fine distinctions in sound, such as when making adjustments on equipment.
  • Ability to observe and comprehend document layouts, formatting, and print output on screen prior to production
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force routinely, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Objects greater than 50 pounds require a two-person operation.
  • Subject to outside conditions occasionally when making rounds to the post office and deliveries.
  • Ability to operate and maintain motor vehicles.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree and one (1) year related experience, or a combination of graphic design education and related experience equal to four (4) years. High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ideal candidate has some experience in an office, print shop, or mailroom environment, and familiarity using high-volume printers, copiers, and document editing tools such as Microsoft Word, Canva, or Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to follow set procedures and may exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and balance priorities.
  • Prior work record indicating dependability and conscientiousness.

Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

  • . Valid South Carolina Driver's License required.

Training Needs:

  • OSHA and departmental safety training as required.
  • Skills based training.
  • Standard Operating Instruction (SOI) per department requirements.
  • ISO 14001 standards for department and company.
