Team Leader-Distribution Operations
$21.82/hour; 40 hours/week

High school diploma or GED, supplemented by five (5) years of experience in heavy equipment operation, water/sewer/stormwater system maintenance, and/or utility construction/pipe laying
Distributions certification level "D" or ability to obtain one within one (1) year
Valid South Carolina driver's license

The Distribution Team Leader provides crew leadership and participates in the installation, maintenance, and repairs of the City's water system; however, sewer/stormwater system work is included. Key skills include utility construction/pipe-laying, overseeing heavy equipment (backhoe, dump truck, vacuum trailers, valve machines, etc.) operation, other specialized tools and equipment, and performing other maintenance work as required. The Distribution Team Leader works within a general outline of work to be performed and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision. The Distribution Team Leader will lead a team during daily activities or may work independently. The Distribution Team Leader will lead a week-long spot on the on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend tasks.
