Pump Station/Low Pressure Crewman

Under limited supervision technicians will inspect, maintain, repair, and clean wastewater lift stations.Â Operate heavy machinery to facility lift-stations replacement, system expansion, and efforts to improve system reliability.

Performs duties associated with repair and maintenance of Lift Stations/Low Pressure activities as needed.

Operates heavy machinery to facilitate lift-station repairs, cleaning, replacement, and system expansion.

Performs troubleshooting work at lift stations and pump stations.

Perform duties as an emergency on-call stand-by technician on a rotating schedule.

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of records.

Performs weekly lift station rounds to check hourly runtimes.

Answers Force Main locate calls daily, weekly, or as needed.

Responds to Low Pressure calls and or concerns.

Complete necessary documentation in all GMD systems.

Inspect Low Pressure System tanks/systems being installed and fill out the proper paperwork.

Performs daily hightide/SCADA readings and review to ensure lift stations are in proper operating order.

Perform corrective/preventive maintenance on Low Pressure systems.

Cleans and maintains wet wells and LP Tanks.

Maintains and replaces force mains, air valves.

Perform preventative maintenance of generators.

Performs routine maintenance and repair of lift stations and telemetry system.

Follows all of GMD's safety practices to ensure occupational and public health hazards are minimized.

Understands pump, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Operates specialized equipment, combination sewer cleaner, farm tractor, forklift, truck mounted crane, and large dump truck.
